About the data
What hap.io shows
hap.io publishes traffic estimates for the top ~2 million websites and a growing set of apps: estimated monthly visits, global rank, referring-network counts, and — clearly labelled as modelled — top countries and estimated website value. Reports are refreshed weekly.
How to read an estimate
Every visit figure comes with a range. The midpoint is our best single estimate; the range is the honest uncertainty around it. Estimates were validated against published benchmarks before launch and are suitable for research, benchmarking, market sizing and comparison. They are not a substitute for a site's own internal analytics, and individual sites can differ from the estimate — check the range, not just the headline number.
What hap.io does not show
Some figures cannot be estimated responsibly, so hap.io leaves them out rather than guessing: per-site traffic channel splits, audience demographics, and app daily/monthly active users. Apple also does not publish iOS download counts; app pages use ratings and chart rank as labelled proxies where that applies.
Freshness
Reports are recomputed on a weekly cycle. The dataset's current build date is published with the data itself, so any figure can be checked for freshness.
