Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
Overview
hap.io publishes traffic reports about websites and apps. The site is free to use and has no accounts, sign-ups or comment features. This policy explains what information is involved when you visit hap.io, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The reports themselves describe public websites and apps; they are not information about our visitors.
Information we collect
Information you give us. None is required to use the site. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and use them only to respond.
Automatic server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) to operate the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
Analytics. We do not run third-party analytics trackers on hap.io. Our hosting provider may give us aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example, total requests per day).
Cookies and similar technologies
hap.io does not set cookies of its own. Cookies on this site come from advertising, as described next.
Advertising
hap.io shows advertising served through Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager, including ads from Ad.Plus and other advertising partners. These services and the advertisers and vendors they work with use cookies and similar technologies (including Google's advertising cookies) to:
- serve ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites (personalized advertising);
- measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect invalid or fraudulent activity.
How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and use their own cookies subject to their own policies.
Your choices
- Personalized advertising: you can opt out in Google's Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, and through the industry opt-out pages at aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (Europe). Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalized.
- EEA and UK visitors: where consent is required for advertising cookies, a consent prompt is shown and personalized ads are served only in line with the choices you make there.
- California residents: we do not sell personal information. Advertising partners' use of cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising is described above, and the opt-outs listed there apply.
- Privacy requests: for anything else — including access or deletion requests relating to an email you sent us — contact us at the address below.
Children's privacy
hap.io is a business research tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes to how advertising data is handled will be reflected here before they take effect.
